What a wonderful week!

So hard to say goodbye…our week at Dadagaun ended with a huge party, the Army providing marquees for shelter, the School providing a wonderful cultural program with dancing, music and official speeches, tikas and tea, and we Aussies providing many smiles, tears, music, bubbles, gifts and dance of our own kind. Kurt and I have been in Nepal a little over a week keeping busy with the purchase of  materials, tools and resources ready for the arrival of the 14 members of the 28.84 team next week and soon after Tony, Raewyn and Karen. Our knitting project has been unbelievably successful! We have had ladies aged from 13 – 90 all over the country knitting colourful squares for our kindy blankets. There are about 20 completed blankets and the squares keep coming. We will continue the project for as long as people are interested and next provide ponchos or [...]
